Durant, OK 74701
United States of America
I have been attending Southeastern since August 2007 and plan to continue to attend until I earn my bachelor's degree in Computer Science. My experience at Southeastern has been very positive; my professors have always been friendly and approachable, the courses are thorough and well taught, and the staff is helpful and pleasant. All my classes have been fairly small, averaging under thirty students per class. The small classes enable professors to provide individual assistance and engage the class in discussions and group-oriented activities.
The average cost of tuition for Oklahoma residents living on campus is about $3,700 per semester for full-time students. For those living off campus, it costs around $1,800. Non-residents can expect to pay around $6,000 per semester, living on campus and going full-time. The cost of books varies but usually costs around $400 per semester. There is a $20 application fee for admission, payable online as well as by mail or in person. For students that would like to live off campus, there are many rent houses and apartments in the Durant area and part-time jobs are plentiful. Southeastern offers many scholarships to freshmen and current students.
Once you are admitted you can apply for financial aid and see an advisor to enroll in your classes. There are a many degree programs to choose from, like accounting, aviation, chemistry, criminal justice, management, marketing, psychology, and sociology to name a few. Online classes are also available allowing students to do their studies off campus. Southeastern also holds various events year-round, including an annual parade. You can also join the Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and other campus groups. At Southeastern, you can make a lot of friends by living in the campus communities and getting involved in the many opportunities available here.
If you are looking for a university with a personal touch, you will find no better school than Southeastern. I can't think of a better place to earn my degree and embark on the path towards a successful career. Southeastern truly gives you a great place to start and follow your dreams.
For more information about Southeastern, you can visit its web site at http://www.se.edu.
You can also find out more about Durant by visiting the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce website at http://www.durantchamber.org/ or by visiting the City of Durant website at http://www.durant.org/. Do not judge the city by the websites alone, for they are not a fair representation of our great city. If you make a trip to Lake Texoma this summer, be sure to visit Durant and see the wonderful opportunities that are available.
You can make arrangements for a tour of the campus by calling 1-800-435-1327 (ext 2060).
