The wood is actually solid Chinese oak and plywood. The mirror is five mm deep and is beveled. The glass is of really good quality and I am impressed with its appearance. It is quite easy to install on the wall, but you have to make sure that you install it well because it is quite heavy and do not forget that you will be putting more items inside that might add to its weight. The entire Southern Enterprises Cherry 48" High Wall Curio / Jewelry Mirror measures forty eight inches in height, fourteen point twenty-five inches in width and three point seventy five inches in depth.
