Southlan-Films' Production "AND ALL THROUGH the HOUSE" Premieres at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival!
Christmas Horror Comes a Little Early This Year!
Friday September 15th was big day for filmmaker Ron McLellen as his latest film "And All Through the House" had its Georgia premiere at the 2011 Atlanta Horror Film Festival. This year's festival was held at The Goat Farm Art Center at 1200 Foster Street NW, Atlanta, GA, 30318. The screening of the film (for which McLellen wrote, produced, edited, and directed) is his first such film since he premiered his previous film "Bad Land" here in 2007 (which took home the award for "Best Local Film."
Despite the fact that McLellen has not been absent from the genre (he directed three horror fan films and an as yet incomplete feature), it may feel that way since he hasn't unleashed a new original horror feature for some time (he did release the short film "Revenant" earlier this year).
The film "And all Through the House" was given the coveted 11:45PM (or Midnight) screening time on opening night. The film is McLellen's first seasonal themed film since the release of his second feature "Jack O'Lantern" over half a decade earlier. "And All Through the House" is a Christmas themed horror film in which the traditions of the holiday are turned on their head as normal holiday goers must face a serial killer Santa Claus, an imaginary holiday beast, an dream demon-like elf and a voodoo demon.
"And All Through the House" stars Callan Wilson, Dave R. Watkins, Becky Ballard, Rusty Smith, Kevin McKinney, and Roland Force, to name a few. The film is written & directed by Ron McLellen and produced by McLlen and Eric F. Burton and Kevin L. Powers. The film is 83 minutes long.
McLellen hopes to send the film to many more film festivals throughout the rest of the year.
UPDATE: The film "And All Through the House" won the prize for "Best Local Feature" at the 2011 Atlanta Horror Film Festival.
