Soy can Help your Menopause Cycle

Shellie
Soy contains Isoflavones which are compounds that mimic the beneficial effects of estrogen without its risks. Most women going through menopause have hot flashes accompanied by night sweats. Wouldn't it be great if you could reduce or even rid them altogether?

INCREASING YOUR SOY

The increase of soy as part of your regular daily diet can do just that, reduce or even eliminate hot flashes and your night sweats. Studies have shown that menopausal women who have added twenty grams of soy powder (which is equal to about four tablespoons) to their diets have reduced the severity of both hot flashes and night sweats.

ESTROGEN REPLACEMENT

The replacement of estrogen therapy raises the risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Because soy mimics estrogen without all the risks, it's used in the therapy instead of estrogen itself. Soy powder is available in health food stores, and can be added to juice, cereals, as well as other your other favorite drinks or food.

ADDED BONUS

I don't know about you but anything I can use and get a little extra for free, I am all for that! Soy is an absolute added bonus because it reduces Total Cholesterol, LDL cholesterol (the "Bad" cholesterol) and Triglycerides. Who couldn't use help with that? Using soy powder also reduces the amount of other supplements you may be taking. Soy has a lot more benefits than given credit for. An example of this would be soy also contains magnesium and boron, which are important co-factors of calcium for bone health.

It's never too late to add soy and soy based products to your diet. It's a great way to start the first day of the rest of your life, instead of just a health kick.
