Facial Scrubs You Can Make in Your Kitchen

You love to go to spas, or you dream of going but financially it isn't possible. That was me I love facials but financially I cant go to spas, and I usually treat myself once a year on my birthday to a facial at one. What do You do in the meantime? Your face does deserve a "lift" If you really look at the ingredients that they use in facials scrubs they are items you can find everyday in your kitchen. So here home recipes you can make and put on your face as a scrub.

Almond-Honey Scrub recipe
2 tablespoons crushed almonds
1 tablespoon honey
Mix. Leave on face for 5 minutes. Rub in well, then rinse.

Almond-Mayonnaise Scrub recipe
For very dry skin.
1/4 cup almonds
1/8 teaspoon mayonnaise
Grind almonds in blender until they form a meal. Whirl in mayonnaise. Vinegar-Rinse your skin. Rub in Scrub gently and thoroughly. Leave on skin for about 10 minutes. Rinse off and follow with Vinegar Rinse.

Brown Sugar Facial Scrub recipe
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup sweet almond oil*
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground oatmeal
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Large pinch calendula petals*
Mix all together and put in jar with tight lid.
* Found in health food stores.

Exfoliating Sugar Scrub Mask recipe
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon plain yogurt
1/4 teaspoon honey
Combine ingredients and apply to face for 10 minutes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry. Mask should be applied up to 3 times a week.
The yogurt in this recipe is an exfoliating agent, and the honey helps moisturize any skin type

Natural Lemon Skin Exfoliant recipe
1/2 to 2/3 cup granulated sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
Mix sugar and lemon juice to form a paste.
While showering invigorate your skin with the paste. Use the inside of the lemon rind to rub heels and elbows.

Oatmeal-Citrus Scrubbing Grains recipe
1 cup dried orange and lemon peel
1 cup cooked oatmeal
1 cup blanched almonds
Place peels, oats, and almonds in a blender and whirl until the mixture is a fine powder. Store powder in an attractive container in the bathroom.
To use, place a bit of the grains in the palm of your hand and moisten with a few drops of warm tap water. Rub the paste onto your face with a gentle circular and upward motion. Rinse off with tepid water and pat dry. You can finish your cleansing by rinsing your face with one of the facial rinsing lotions or smoothing on a facial cream.

Scrub and Glow Facial Cleanser recipe
1 cup oatmeal, uncooked
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 cup farina
Grind oatmeal in a blender until soft but still flaky. DO NOT powder it. Combine oatmeal with farina and salt. Splash face with hot water to wet it thoroughly. Pick up mixture with moist fingers. Rub face with the powder. Be gentle, but rub all of your facial skin. Rinse with hot water (15 splashes will suffice). Apply Vinegar Rinse. Use for 5 to 8 days, then return to a milder cleanser.
