Spa Toccare at the Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa in Atlantic City

Pamper Yourself in Atlantic City

Sandy Mitchell
The Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa, a 43-story mega-resort in Atlantic City, is home to the expansive, 50,000-square foot Toccare Spa - the biggest in that vibrant east coast resort city. The luxurious hideaway is the perfect place to escape from the casinos, crowds, and demands of daily life. The beautiful facility features a soothing wood and marble interior, candlelit soaking tubs, and a full menu of relaxing treatments.

The Toccare Spa
The pampering starts when you enter the Toccare Spa. Juices and bottled water are available while you wait - a nice touch. Treatments at the Toccare Spa run the gamut from the predictable to the exotic. There are seven different massages offered, including a massage for two and a massage especially designed for pregnant women. The mud treatments include several firming treatments, one called enticingly the "Fanny Firmer." Other beauty options include five kinds of facials and a variety of aromatherapy soaking baths.

In addition to the 22 treatment rooms, the spa includes a peaceful inner courtyard spa garden, an indoor pool, three whirlpools, a steam room and sauna, a beauty salon, and a barbershop. Spa patrons who purchase at least a 50-minute treatment get complimentary use of the sauna, steam room, whirlpool, lockers, and locker room.

Just for Men
The Toccare Spa does not ignore men's beauty and relaxation needs. The spa offers a special menu of treatment, designed just for men. There is also a separate section of the spa for male patrons, with its own lounge, treatment rooms, showers, and reception area. Among the treatments in the men's spa area are the "Classic Man Body" scrub and a "just for men" facial.
Couples can take advantage of the several "Decadent Bath Suites," private rooms equipped with their own shower or bath. One room is decorated in 1890s-style red velvet and gold with a claw-foot tub; another, the "Zen Suite" is outfitted in a serene Asian décor.

The Pump Room
The Pump Room at the Toccare Spa is the resort's workout facility. The state-of-the-art exercise equipment is set up in front of huge plasma screen TVs (a signature feature of the resort; they're even in the elevators) and overlooks the tranquil spa garden and indoor pool area. Showers in the adjacent locker rooms have dispensers with rosemary-scented shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The vanity areas in the locker rooms feature complimentary razors, shaving lotion, hairdryers, combs, and brushes.

The Borgata Resort
The Borgata Resort, opened in 1993, has over 2000 guest rooms and suites, a 125,000-square foot casino, 11 restaurants, a shopping arcade, and parking for over 7000 cars. Unlike, most of the major Atlantic City Resort, the Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa is located away from the Boardwalk on 29 well-manicured acres.

Conveniently located near New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC, the Borgata Resort Spa and Casino makes a luxurious and relaxing getaway from city life.

The Borgata keep saying they are the loosest slots ever, well it is a beautiful place and I have been going since they opened but I realized they are the tightest slots ever. They dont even make any convience for smokers just outside well we are not criminals or bad people but we are the smokers that pay tha Borgata's bills. I bet smokers spend more money at the Borgata then non-smokers. I am so upset that the other night it was awful not to be able to smoke at the Borgata and it was hardly anyone there for a friday night. I will take my money somewhere else.
