Spa Treatment at Home

Pamper yourself as if you were at a spa with ingredients that you will find in your pantry

Facial scrub:
Clear your complexion, improve the circulation, and tone up slack muscles, try giving yourself a gentle facial scrub. Apply with small circular movements over the face and neck before rinsing off with warm water

Scrubs for dry skin - Blend one tablespoon of ground almonds with clear honey to make a past. Apply it over the face and then rinse off with warm water
Scrubs for normal skin - Mix on tablespoon of wheat germ and one tablespoon of light cream together in a basin until they form a past. Then massage it gently over the skin and rinse away with tepid water.

Facial Sauna:
A facial sauna is wonderful way to cleanse and relax the skin, encourage the release of nutrients and eliminate toxins from your skin. For an extra treat add some of your favorite herbs.

1. Remove any makeup and tie your hair back

2. Boil a pan of water and pour it into a heatproof bowl. If you wish, at this point you can add a handful of your favorite herbs to the water. - Chamomile, fennel, geranium, lavender, lemon balm.

3. With a towel draped over your head lean forward over the bowl, allowing the hot steam to rise and cleanse your face.

4. Remain in the same position for 15 minutes to allow enough time for the pores to open.

Leave it to dry of on its own accord before applying a moisturizer

Facial mask:

1. One egg and one teaspoon of honey

2. Beat the egg white till stiff

3. And honey and beat more

4. Apply the mixture all over the face and leave it on for 20 minutes

5. Rinse it of using warm water

Moisturize with your favorite moisturizer

Foot mask:

1. Two bananas, two teaspoons of olive oil, two teaspoons of fine sea salt, and the juice of one lemon.

2. Mash bananas and mix in the rest of the ingredients.

3. Rest your feet on a towel and massage mixture into them.

4. Leave on for 10 minutes then wash off with warm water

5. Apply lots of moisturizer to your feet.

Avocado hair conditioner:

1. One avocado

2. Remove the stone from the avocado and mash

3. Massage the mixture into the hair and scalp

4. Cover the hair with a plastic bag and leave it for a full hour

5. Shampoo and rinse as normal

Body scrub:
Mix a handful of fine sea salt with a dollop of olive oil leave for a few minutes to give the salt time to dissolve slightly then rub it all over the body and rinse off.

Salt Bath:
Run a warm bath add 1 lb of Epson salt soak for 20 minutes when you get out keep warm by pilling on lots of clothes.

Warm minty bath:
1 cup of fresh mint chopped, 1 cup of bay leaves, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of almond extract. Place all of the mix in a cheese cloth, run your bath hotter than normal add your minty tea bag to the water and let sit for about 15 minutes or until your water is a nice socking temperature. Relax for 30 minutes.
