Too often we forget that the best, of the soldiers of military services have problems, of their very own. And, you might say Sgt. Biddix Ottavius, Bell is no different as he deals with Zone Eight celebration, of Serenity Day. A day they celebrate in honor, of those that served in Zone Eight Stellar forces. Along with those that has passed in carrying out their military duties.

Although, he carries out his assigned duties, as a officer honoring his comrades. Many are noticing that Sgt. Biddix Bell moods aren't the gleeful, cheerful person he seems to be. And to Cpl. Keesee James, it goes way pass Serenity Day celebration. When, she enters his official quarters, of operations she see pictures, of his spouse that she hardly hear him speaks about.

But, she figure he's paying gratitude to her for dealing with his many years, as a Zone Eight Stellar officer.Least until she meets Brook Lakeda, Bell his eldest daughter. Who has came for a surprised visit with her father? As, a security officer, at the Disciple Of Peace head quarters she have never requested for days to attend personal time with her father. Who, at present is inside Serenity Hall, the religious sanctuary, of Zone Eight.

He finds tranquility, from the every day wars, problems and conflicts that faces the government, of Zone Eight. Alone with God, the man that others ave never seen cry a tear before them. Just slowly begins to question himself about his decease spouse. Who death occurred on Serenity Day years ago?

"Lord, I miss her. I truly miss her." He states silently in tone with tears coming down his face. He rumble through all his hurt, his pain with his moment with the lord. Many times, we live under this impression that many soldiers let their bravery stop them , from being human. Except Sgt. Biddix Bell is human. Plus, he's a man. And many men can't accept being seen as weak before others.

"I probably never understand why she love a nut like me." He states, with a laugh as his tears slowly evaporates. Still, he stays before the altar praying. It's not many time he has this opportunity because a conflict is always occurring that needs his assistance.

While, he's spending time with the lord his colleagues are learning about his daughter. Cpl. Keesee James even go as far to stat Sgt. Bell treats her like his very own. Which doesn't surprise his daughter Brook. Who envy the corporal for that closeness? Always inquiring about information concerning her commanding officer. She ask about Sgt. Biddix Bell wife.

"Why you ask?"
"Well, your father never speak about his wife." Cpl. James replies.

"Corporal, don't take it personal. That just my father tryng to put up a brave face when there's no need too." Explaining he always acted strong even when her mother died. He didn't want his children to see tears coming , from his eyes.

"As for mom. She died when we was away on a mission long before you became a Zone Eight soldier." Going further to state she had incurable cancer that some doctors contributed to her serving aboard the battle cruiser she was assigned too in the "Volcanic Zone" that her cruiser was station,at for five years.

Soon, Brook Bell has met Lt. Hutchinson, the administrative officer, of Zone Eight. Who main responsibilities to oversee the assignments, of Zone Eight officers.

"So, you the Bell kid? The one that the mention, of her name makes his smile. Well, Miss Brook Bell welcome and anytime you feel like being apart, of Zone Eight Stellar forces let me know." Pointing out she meets all the credentials to be accepted. Which she don't answer but congratulate him for the accolades.

As, sky cruiser, battle cruiser, ground cruisers along with Zone Eight Stellar forces pass through the streets, of Zone Eight. They are saluted, by the citizens that came out for Serenity Day Of Honor to the forces.

Walking toward the Serenity Hall, Cpl. James and Officer Brook Bell enters the religious domain for prayer. While very unaware that Sgt. Biddix Bell is a few corridors over, from them. Concluding his prayer he departs the sanctuary.

He precedes to the offices, of Chancellor Royce Kirkwood to request some personal time for himself. Which is instantly granted to him,by the chancellor. He removes his decorative Zone Eight Stellar forces uniform and relax surrounded by photos, of his spouse. He glance at his children surrounding his wife and smile.

Least until Happy Parker interrupt the silent moment. "Bell! Let's go visit the universal galaxies. Maybe create a problem between nations that soon will be requesting our forces to solve."

"Happy, You hadn't changed since I met you. Still that intrusive soul, of a devil"

"Intrusive yes. Devil never!" Stating he's going to make him smile on this somber occasion that many fails to realize the joy in living.

"Anyway Sandra, I know wouldn't accept you being this way." Which he agreed too in a second.

Soon, there's a visit, from Cpl. Keesee James to her commanding officer quarter. And moving to the side Sgt. Biddix Bell can't believe his eyes, as his daughter stands there before him.

"Brook! How?" But all that vanish as they embrace one another. The sad mood that he was in for a moment before Technical Sgt. Happy Parker put one there seems to double with the appearance, of his eldest child. Who's the splitting image, of Sarah Brook, Bell his decease spouse?

If happiness and joy means the same. Then, you would be totally surprise that they acting exactly that way. All extra company they have has now disappeared, as they enjoy company, of being a father and a daughter. In many ways , a child have enhance her father mood then ever before.

The daughter states, who she know? Who she met? And found in her father a comment that this will be a day he won't forget. Least, until she's surprises Lt. Hutchinson and her father too:

"Lt. Hutch, I gladly accept membership in the Zone Eight Stellar forces training academy." As, she watches her father beam with a great smile, of impression and joy with her decision.

Wars can't bring happiness to every one. Except some decision can enlighten a father more then anyone thought possible.
