1. EDUCATIONAL VIDEO (Group of 3-4)
Submit a video that effectively teaches a concept that we have covered this year in class. This would be something I could use next year, so make it clear and appropriate. The length of the video should last about 10-15 minutes and include a short skit in Spanish that applies the concept covered. Some examples of concepts would be: regular verb conjugation, preterit verb conjugation, reflexive verbs, food vocab, animal vocab, etc. All SPANISH would need to be approved by me before the video is made to ensure accuracy.
2. PIѐATA PROJECT (1-2 people)
Make a traditional piñata and a poster, video, or power-point presentation depicting the steps involved (include photos of yourself making it) as well as some information on the history and origin of piñatas. You will need to fill it with enough candy to share with the class, and provide materials necessary to hang and break it. (blindfold, stick, string, etc.)
3. MUSICAL LYRICS (1-2 people)
Find song sung in Spanish that you can burn to a CD, ipod, or portable storage device so that you can play it for the class. Make a poster that depicts the lyrics in Spanish AND English (translate). Include a picture of the artist performing, as well as the Song title and original songwriter and album information. If you want to find a song in English, you will have to find a way to record someone (talk to your buddies in choir!) singing it in Spanish so that you can play it for the class IN SPANISH. (Karaoke???) You could also have someone perform it live!
4. PHOTOBOOK (1-2 people)
Take pictures that tell a story. Your subject can be anything, but approve it with me first. Write captions that narrate your story IN SPANISH. Include an ENGLISH translation. You will put them into a photo book or paste them into a scrapbook. Be prepared to present them to the class! An alternative would be to make a powerpoint presentation that completes the same assignment. Either way, you will need to include at least 20 pictures with at least one complete sentence for each caption.
5. SPANISH GAME/ACTIVITY (1-2 people)
Design a class game, board game, or class activity that helps reinforce a concept or multiple concepts we have learned in class. You will need to write out a rule booklet that explains how to play the game/ do the activity IN SPANISH with an ENGLISH translation. If the game requires questions you must write them out on cards with questions. Include enough cards to occupy a class period if we were to take a day to play your game. If you make a board game, you will need to find a time to come in and play it with me so I can learn how it is supposed to work.
6. SKIT/ SHORT PLAY (3-4 people)
Perform a short skit or play, lasting at least 5-7 minutes, for the class. You must type out your lines in Spanish and English and English Translation to turn in to me, but perform the play in Spanish. You may have a person narrating in English if you would like, but ALL the actors lines must be in Spanish. You may write your own play or TRANSLATE an existing one.

A good spin on the photobook is to make a digital online book. I just started this project with my students and so far they are liking it. You can make your own specifications depending on what level you are teaching but the website we are using is mixbook.com.
i need a spanish project buy friday

The video actually sounds really fun, could it be funny but still educational? That would be so much fun to do with friends!
i love balls
the projects look magnifico!!!!!!!!!! Me encantan!!!!!!!!! hahaha
These activities look really cool. Because of a scheduling error that I can't fix, I'm a Spanish 4 student stuck in a class with Spanish 2's! My teacher and I are looking for activities that I could do on my own and then present them to either her or to the class. These activities look fun.
This sounds like exactly what I'm looking for to get my Spanish II students more involved in their own learning process. So many of the weaker students want to lean on the others when we do practice exercises. Then when test time rolls around, they don't have a clue!
