Sparkle Brand Paper Towels Versus Oasis Brand Paper Towels

A good paper towel is one of the few things that you cannot do without. The daily routine of living is much easier because of them. When you go to your local retail store you can find many different brands of paper towels in various price ranges. It can be difficult to find a decent paper towel that fits your budget, even if money is no object. Two brands that I like and find myself indecisive over are: Sparkle paper towels and Oasis paper towels.

Sparkle paper towels are nicely layered to give you a natural cloth feel and all the absorbency you need. The size and thickness allow for spills to be easily picked up and for surface cleaning. I have often been amazed at how efficiently these paper towels clean up major messes without falling apart. They wring out well and can easily be used again to absorb the remainder of a small spill. With the convenient economy large roll package, you can expect your purchase to last. Sparkle has provided a way for consumers to feel as though they are thrifty while using as many paper towels as they need to.

Another brand of paper towel, Oasis, has proven to me to be very useful as well. They are nice, thick paper towels that hold up very well. The size of the paper towel is adequate and the rinsing and reuse of them is comparable to Sparkle. The layers of this paper towels feel like a towel and have a softer texture as opposed to the Sparkle brand. There are only two things that I do not like about the Sparkle brand. (1) The prints. Plain white towels should always be an option in all locations that the product is sold. (2) The price. The family pack will leave you with sticker shock. Nearly eight dollars is a bit much to spend on paper towels with the price of other necessities pressing family budgets. It is really hard sometimes, to justify spending the equivalent of half a tank of gasoline on paper towels. That alone will have the consumer looking at the cheaper Oasis brand paper towels. However, if you buy the rolls of Sparkle brand that are the same size as the Oasis brand, then you are right back to weighing your options; because in that instance, the smaller package of Sparkle is a little cheaper than the Oasis.

When deciding between Sparkle and Oasis, you must ask yourself a couple of questions: What size package do I want? How much do I want to spend? Do the prints really matter? Personally, I know that I want a paper towel that will hold up to the demands of an active family. I also look for an affordable package that seems to be the smart choice. For my money, I could do without the dyes; and also, I like a paper towel that feels more like paper than plastic. Occasionally, I will come across a roll of the Sparkle that feels a lot like a plastic bag. When you use a towel like this, it will make a plastic sound when crunched, and have less absorbency in the cleaning department.

Overall, I generally go with the towel that is the better value. At times the brand I want is not in stock where I shop and it is not worth the extra money in time/travel to go to another store. I do not always have the money in my budget for the family packs either. As with any decision a housewife has to make, choices can vary based on need and affordability. To summarize: I like the cloth feel of the Oasis, but the toughness of the Sparkle. Both are good choices in the paper towel department.
