My first and far most favorite valued selection of Champagne is a Gold Medal Winner of the 2008 San Francisco International Wine Competition. Chandon Blanc de Noirs has a hint of pink in the body of the wine and is very flavorful with a slight taste of strawberries. The smooth soft sweet aroma from this sparkling goodness will ignite your taste buds with your first sip. A cool crisp aftertaste will be calling you back for another glass of this fantastic champagne. For an even more delightful experience when sipping on a glass of Chandon, I enjoy adding a splash of Chambord French black raspberry liqueur and a sliced of fresh strawberry. What an elegantly sexy mixture that will impress every time. This 750 ML bottle of Chandon Champagne runs about $12.00 at your local spirits supply store or market. Visiting Domaine Chandon Winery is a wonderful experience, located in Napa Valley; CA. Chandon offers wine tasting and tours around the beautiful scenic grounds for $16.00 per person.
A tasting experience from a grand Medalist of the 2008 Long Beach Wine Competition is a bottle of Barefoot Bubbly Brut Cuvee. This is a second grand choice of champagne to have on your list of low cost bubbly. With its fine green apples and citrus scents, you are surely about to enjoy a light and smooth flavor that is a pleaser to any wine enthusiast. Barefoot Bubbly Brut is $7.00 a bottle, making it very easy to keep this flavorful wine on hand. Barefoot Cellars is located in Modesto, CA.
Andre Champagne Brut is a 750 ML bottle and only cost around $3.00. I always enjoy a bottle of Champagne that surprises you because of its low cost. Well this Bold, dry and yet still soft on your palate stands up to its name and taste. This is always a great choice for serving large events or weddings because of the price and because it has a great brut body. I choose this bottle over Korbel and Cooks every time. E.&J. Gallo Winery produces Andre Champagne and have making wine for over 75 years and are also located in Modesto, CA.
For my fourth selection I must have the unique flavor of Laetitia Champagne Cuvee. Normally this bottle is about $21.00 but I have purchased it recently for $19.99 and for the taste and quality this bubbly has to offer, I think it very well qualifies under the low cost Champagne list. Once you pop the top on this bottle your senses will start racing around the fantastic aromas of lemon curd. Your first sip has a rich taste of honeydew melon with a slight tart apple and an apricot aftertaste. What a unique blend of fruit flavors this champagne has to offer. I have been enjoying this Champagne all summer long and anticipate visiting the Laetitia Vineyard & Winery in San Luis Obispo very soon.
And last but not least is my Fith must have on the low cost champagne list. Tott's Extra Dry. This bottle of champagne is priced at $7.00. This Champagne is simple and slightly sweet with a fresh crisp scent that is very well fitted for your Sunday brunch mimosas. Tott's Champagne Cellarmis located in Modesto, CA.
