First of all, I'd like to point out that the SparkPeople Android App is free to download and install. This means there's absolutely no need to pay for other weight loss apps to clutter up your smartphone. The next thing I'd like to point out is that the app has a rating of 4 stars in the Android Market. These are two of the reasons I decided to download and install the app. I was skeptical though. I had a hard time getting used to the SparkPeople website so I had a feeling the app would be even more difficult to use. Boy, was I wrong.
The SparkPeople Android App is much simpler to use than the website. Once you open the app, you'll see an overview at the top of the screen of calories eaten and calories burned for the day. The bottom of the screen contains five tabs: "Today", "Food", "Fitness", "Weight" and "More". If you click on the "Food" tab, you'll be able to search and enter in foods you've eaten or want to see the information on. The "Fitness" tab allows you to search for and enter in exercise you've done for the day. The "Weight" tab allows you to enter in your current weight. Lastly, the "More" tab allows you to track water intake, look at reports of how you're doing, change settings and share the app with other friends.
I highly recommend the SparkPeople Android App. This app has made it so much easier to make healthier choices while eating out. I'm able to pull out my phone, do a quick search and know what will fit into my calories for the day. In all honesty, I like it more than the website.
If you're trying to lose weight, give the SparkPeople Android App a chance. It's free to download, easy to use and highly rated by myself and other users of the app. Personally, I give it 5 out 5 stars.
