What truly makes the Spartans, ignite the fires of fear in their opponents? The answer to that question lies not in a single player or playmaker, but more in the hot volcanic-fire that fuels this team's africanized honeybee like collaboration.

Lets take a look at the Army.

"C'mon Ali" has used the criticisms stemming from game one against the Hawks as a means of motivating him to put on two weekends of over 200 yards passing. In the last four games he has had two interceptions and something like 14 TD passes. He has certainly re-focused his team and brought about a change in the winds.

"Rob, Im built like a shithouse Esterbrook" This versatile lineman stops players in their tracks and is also a capable skill player who can play virtually anywhere on the field. He serves as one of Sparta's top advisors as well as bodyguards.

"Peterson the Pulverizer" This Offensive Lineman rivals the agility of the Norseman, and has gone virtually unnoticed by the rest of the league. One of the younger Spartans, he intimidates players, as he NEVER tires. His thirst for white-flame will often make opposing DE's give up after 2 pulverizing hits.

"Badass Billy Lynch" Billy easily conformed to Spartan ways as he already possessed the violent, angry nature required of all its soldiers when battle is looming. He can play practically any postion, even QB, as well as run routes and snap the ball. His versatility may indeed be unmatched and Nova will likely be surprised this week.

"Rabid Rene Caraval" Many people fail to see this player's kick return capability and his keen insight to break long runs . He is a staple of the Spartan spearmen, and is guaranteed to score practically every game. Moreover, his speed approaches standards comparable only to the greek God Hermes.

"Searing Steve" Steve plays both sides of the ball and may be one of the hardest workers on the Spartans. He has the capability to burn a team long or bat down passes on any potential WR. He is one of those players who go unnoticed until you look at the scoreboard and see somethign of the tune of 5-1 and wonder who scored on you?

"Yangster" This Nova veteran does not know what the word "quit" or "give up" means." Known also as Angry Andy, he is one of the best safeties this league has seen, and is primed for revenge. Capable of moving with Troy Polomalu quickness, he can be at both sides of the field in an instant.

"Derrick or ESPN" People fail to see what a playmaker this unknown individual is, capable of beating teams long, or serving as a tactical genius in establishing the best defense in the league, he is a critical cog to the Spartan War machine and often demoralizes opponents with key plays.

"Pags" The backup Qb, TE, and MLB of the Spartans at times, he possesses a frankness and clarity of play and communication. Additionally, he has underrated hands and has yet to drop a ball. Although foreign wars have prevented his timely appearance he will be with Sparta till the end.

"Dre-Day" This WR will burn a team over the middle even if they are expecting it, and truly breaks the mold for a "game-player" rather than a player who excels in practice. Come Saturdays, only the best defenders guard Dre and are often privy to a first hand knee injury by trying to follow his cuts.

"Akeem the dream" Yes, so his name is similar to a superstar basketball player. Akeem, is possibly the most dangerous and feared DE in the league. If he is not being double teamed he is putting a move on opposing linemen, giving Qbs hardly anytime to check the field.

"Damian" D, is one of Sparta's fiercest defenders or safety who waits in earnest for the errant Qb to dare try and pass to his side of the field. He eats human ears for breakfast and even disrespects the Spartan leadership at the drop of a hat, with no care as to his future.

"Madcap" This old Bulldog-Mastiff serves no purpose other than to keep the fires of Sparta flaming hotter than earth's core. Although his skills have aged and dropped with time, his mere presence as Sparta's flag bearer makes other teams experience an instantaneous morale drop.
