Speak-Up About BP Bitter Pill

British Petro Has Become America's Bitter Pill

Soon in America we will be celebrating our Independence from Great Britain making us a free and solvers nation. Many years back our forefathers gave a notorious "tea party" where we threw overboard a ship load of tea into the Boston Harbor protesting foreign invaders in our country. Not that we are at war with the English today but why they are still in our harbors and polluting our country. The event I am referring to is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. It seems that after all we are in need of oil and are constantly going to the Middle East to get what we need. Over the years we have spent billions of dollars fronting the Middle Eastern economy and war efforts and lost many lives of our young people to secure the much needed oil. Today we permit a foreign nation to enter our waters drill for oil and now we are faced with a "Bitter Pill" of losing our beautiful country, the eco system, and harming many wildlife creatures. We should be doing our own drilling and controlling the way things happen not permitting a foreign export company enter our waters and destroy our country.

When Paul Revere made his ride and yelled, "the British our coming", should we have not listened to this warning? The next time we get a warning about foreign intruders let's not forget the lessons that we were taught by our forefathers. British Petroleum has become a very "Bitter Pill" indeed to everyone in America today. We cannot afford to lose any part of our nation for any reason. It does not matter who or what way the intrusion occurs it is still an act that is harmful to the whole nation. We need more than just homeland security watching the airports. We must be ever on the alert today as we were when we first fought and got our freedom. When we celebrate the July 4th holiday this year let us remember those who have fallen in war, those who sacrificed much to make our nation great, those who were killed at the 911 bombing, and especially those today who are losing much along the Gulf of Mexico. When we lose any part of our country the whole nation suffers. We cannot afford to give up any part of our nation where it is by land or by sea. This is truly a "Bitter Pill" that the whole nation is suffering today.
