On Valentine's Day, a very special gift of love that was delivered to me on February 14, 1968. The most precious gift of all, was our son. His cute little face and my heart melted as the doctor handed the baby over to me and he put him into my arms and he was the most cutest little baby boy that I have ever seen, and the tears of joy was just streaming down my cheeks. He was the cutest little Gerber Baby, and we brought him home for the first time my husband carried him into our home and together we put him into the bassinet and the baby was all comfortable and the baby knew that he was at home. We all bonded together and he was such a good baby. He came down with the colic and he cried and cried and a friend showed me about boiling the water and putting a mint leaf into the water and boiling another pan of water and putting that water into an bottle, and then she took an toothpick and dipped it into the mint water and then dipped the toothpick into the baby bottle and she let it cool so the baby could drink a little bit of the minted water. The baby did not get very much of the mint water, but it did take away the colic. He was a happy camper after that and he was easy to burp. He was such an handsome little guy, he was Stan my little man. With those big blue eyes and a smile to die for. I would take him out with me and everywhere I would go, he would please the crowd, he knew how to work the crowd with his big beautiful smile and his big blue eyes and he was such an charmer. My sister in law, taught him how to say goody, goody, goody with the Binky in his little mouth. He would suck on that Binky and she would begin to wiggle that Binky around and around in his little mouth until he would say goody, goody, goody and with his little slobbers rolling down his cute little cheeks, oh my gosh, the slobbers would just roll out of his little mouth. I would have to keep the baby bibs on him. When he started crawling around that is all he would say, is goody, goody, goody and when he would loose his Binky out of his mouth, he thought that he lost his best companion. He would cry so hard, and say goody, goody, goody and he would take a crawl and he would lift up his little finger to me and with his big tears rolling down his cheeks and he would say goody, goody, goody with his little slobbers, and then he would give me a smile and he would do this all over again, until I would put his Binky back into his little mouth and then he would smile at me. On his first birthday, is when he had got his first tooth and he took his very first step, on February 14, 1969. Soon after that we found out that we were going to be blessed with another bundle of joy.
