The third vehicle ever made by Henry Ford was a truck, in 1900. The first Ford Truck was built on the Model T One-Ton chassis and was released in 1925. The most popular Ford trucks have been the F-Series, however. The F-Series was first released in 1948 and has been a huge success for Ford ever since. As of 2010, Ford F-Series trucks are in their twelfth generation and are still in production. 1967 was the first year of the fifth generation of the F-Series, which lasted until 1972.

1967 F-100
The 1967 Ford F-100 trucks came with either a 115-inch wheelbase or a slightly larger 131-inch wheelbase. Shipping weight for both was around 3,300 pounds but where called the 1/2 tons because of a gross vehicle weight rating of 5,600 pounds. The F-100s could come with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

1967 F-250
The 1967 Ford F-250 was a 3/4 ton truck. One model came with a wheelbase of 131 inches and another, larger model with a wheelbase of 149 inches. The larger F-250 also featured a crew cab. The F-250s had either two-wheel or four-wheel drive (see references 1).

1967 F-350
The F-350 also had two models, one slightly larger than the other. One offered a wheelbase of 135 inches, the other 164.5. Both were classified as one-ton vehicles and came with four-wheel drive.

Four engines were offered for Ford trucks in 1967. The 240 cubic-inch Straight-Six was a six-cyclinder engine with 150 horsepower. The 300 cubic-inch Straight-Six was more powerful, with 170 HP. The 352 cubic-inch FE V-8 engine was offered for the Ford truck only in 1967 and got 208 horsepower. The 390 cubic-inch FE V-8 lasted until the end of the fifth generation in 1972 and got 255 HP. Overall Features
All the 1967 F-Series trucks shared some common characteristics. Round headlights were placed in a square setting and then worked into a full-size, rectangular grill. Parking lights were located under the headlights. The interior featured more glass and got three inches larger in 1967 as opposed to models from previous years. 1967 F-Series trucks also had larger tires, a heavier frame and a bigger clutch. Three trim packages were for the F-Series in 1967: the Ranger, the base and the Custom Cab. The Ranger had the most extras and featured plush seats, chrome exterior trim, door panels and carpeting.
