Speed - a Movie Review

Walter Kovacs
Speed with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock was a great movie. I watched it last night and felt like I had been missing out on something. There was a lot of fast action, great special effects and a good plot. I would rate this movie a 9 out of 10.

Keanu Reeves preformed extremely well in this movie. He was serious when he needed to be, but also funny when he was off duty. He seemed like the perfect character for this movie. I thought about if any other actor would fit the position. No one came to mind.

I felt differently with Sandra Bullock. She was very interchangeable. Any other female actor could have played her part in Speed. Even though this is true, she did put on an exceptional performance in this movie. She was very good at playing a young woman who finds herself in a very bad situation.

The plot was good too. A bomber who has been planning a job for two years is thwarted by Jack (Keanu Reeves). He wants revenge, so he puts a bomb on a bus that activates once the bus goes over 50 miles per hour. Once it is active, if the bus's speed drops below 50 miles per hour, the bomb will explode. The bomb will also explode if the bomber is not paid three point seven million dollars by eleven O'clock. Annie (Sandra Bullock) has to drive the bus. She was the one who took the wheel after the driver was shot, and if she lets go of the gas, they might decelerate. The bomber made a rule that no one can get off the bus.

This movie was fantastic, and I am going to watch the sequel tonight. I am very excited to see it, considering the first one was so exceptionally awesome. Make sure to check out this movie. It only costs nine dollars and ninety nine cents on iTunes to buy, and only costs two ninety nine to rent.

I loved this movie, and I hope you do too. Make sure to check out this movie as soon as possible.

CAUTION: Do not watch this movie in a load place. It is the kind of movie that if you don't heat every word, you won't understand how the plot unfold. Also caution, this movie is rated R for lots of violence and a lot of four letter words that begin with the letter F.
