Many community members have raised a bit of noise over the recent police tactics to catch speeders in the act. Several communities are cracking down on those traveling over the speed limit and while the police feel it's justice, many area communities disagree with the idea. While the tactics are legal and the police do have the right to use them to stop those who are breaking the law, many feel it is "sneaky" police work.

The announcement went out on the Thursday before the Labor Day weekend in hopes of warning motorists of the drinking and driving of the holiday season. Additionally there are several locations and communities around Michigan that are participating in these type of tactics to crack down on the speeding problem on the roads.
