Spending Time

How Will You Be Remembered?

Diane Zoller-Ciatto

What does it cost

To spend some time

Is it a penny or nickel

A dollar or a dime?

We are only here

For an allotment of time

It can happen when young

Or strike us in our prime!

So when we are gone

As we all have to go

How we'll be remembered

Is something we should know!

Will you be the workaholic

Who worked from dusk till dawn

Then spent the whole weekend

Manicuring the lawn!

Will you be the mother

Who kept a meticulous home

Spending every moment cleaning

To feed your obsessive syndrome!

Or will you be remembered

For spending your spare time

Playing, laughing and having fun

As a worshipped paradigm?

Excellent considerations. I like to LIVE while I can -- hopefully I will be remembered for that. ; )
