Spice Girls Reunion Tour

"zig-a-zig-ah", the most annoying word, no sound, you will ever hear.

When I heard the Spice Girls announcing their new world reunion tour, I just shook my head.

The group broke up it 2001 after the releasing an album in 2000, Forever, had very weak sales and their first not to hit number one on the charts. That led them to go for solo careers. Geri Halliwell (AKA Ginger Spice) seemed to go the furthest when she pursued a solo career, which is not saying much. As far as I know she only made one solo album and it did not sell well. Geri left the group in 1998. The rest of the Spice Girls bumped along in the music world, none of them making big on their own.

Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) has kept a high profile, due to her husband's new job and moving to the states. Some say she is a fashion icon, personally I think they dress like sluts. Except baby spice, she was not as bad as the others were. Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) just started as a spokesmodel for spaghetti-sauce.

Let us all hope that this does not lead to another movie, one was enough. I will admit I watched it but I was a young teenager, and every girl my age loved them. I think Spice World was a little funny, but most of the scenes they showed in the trailers and ads were not in the movie. That pissed me off, I hate when they do that.

Scary (Melanie Brown) spice reportedly got scary when a male reporter suggested that they wouldn't be able to dress, dance the same since all of them have put on weight due to having babies.( baby spice is currently pregnant) Scary Spice supposedly dived into the crowd and tried to rip his clothes off. I do not know how true that story is but if it is, she needs to get grip. Melanie B. has not really done any thing on her own since the break up of the group; the only notable thing is her high-profile paternity case where Eddie Murphy was the potential father. Earlier in June, a DNA test proved Murphy was the father of her baby.

There are six kids between them (one on the way) but only one has a husband. Some argue that they are not good role models because of this. They defended them selves by saying that "there are a lot of single-mothers and we represent that change". It is not as if they are the only famous single-mothers.

They all claim it is not about the money, it is for our fans. I am sure that 20 Million dollars each, had nothing to do with their decision. In the prime of their 1990's success, they sold more than 55 Million records, and had six consecutive number ones. I just hope it ends when this tour does, we do not need another generation of 'wannabes".

A short biography huh, well none of my stories are short and most people wouldn't believe them anyways. I had some crazy stuff happen to me. I'm a Cha Cha Guide, blogger, freelance writer/web designer,...  View profile
