Are you longing for a new chocolate chip cookie recipe? Maybe you want something with a little more flavor than your basic chocolate chip cook recipes found in cookbooks?

Well this one is sure to knock your socks off and have everyone begging for more!

Spicy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup butter flavored shortening

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

1 12 oz bag chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside. In a mixer beat the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla until well mixed. Add the flour mixture into this mixture. Then, stir in chocolate chips and mix with a spoon until spread thoughout cookie dough. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wax paper for about 10 mintues, then quickly place into a tin container so your yummy chocolate chip cookies stay soft!

    Oh No, I forgot the spice! How silly of me!

    Add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and 1/8 teaspoon of cloves along with the dry ingredients while mixing.
