Easy to Make with Items in Your Home

You don't need to spend a lot of money for a cool outfit.

Are you seeking a cheap homemade Halloween costume? Do you need a costume in a hurry? Here is an easy to do Spider costume that you can make yourself using materials found in your home. If you do not have everything needed and are in a hurry, just use your imagination and improvise.

You will need:

Long black sweatshirt or t-shirt

Black sweatpants or tights

8 long black socks

1-2 yards black ribbon

Black ski hood

Rags or newspaper or even leafs

white finger paint

The first thing to do is to stuff six of the eight socks with rags, newspapers or leafs. Put the ribbon around neck or waist to determine exactly the length you will need.

Attach each sock to the ribbon about one-two inches apart. Put on sweatpants and sweatshirt. Tie ribbon holding socks around neck loosely. Some people may prefer to put them around the waist, but it looks better loosely around the neck.

You may have to adjust the length of the ribbon depending on your size.

These are going to be the arms of the spider. Put last two socks down arms. Put on ski mask hiding as much excess ribbon under it as you can.

The outfit is complete but you can add white paint down arms if you like. Or around the clothes if you are not planning to keep them for regular use. Arms should dangle loosely.

Make this in advance if possible, but it works as a last minute outfit you can make quickly if needed. It is both cheap and easy to do.

Happy Halloween!
