Spider-Man: Friend or Foe begins when you (Spider-Man) are picked up by shield. they tell you that when Venom (an alien) arrived on an asteroid from outer Apace, he was tot the only life that was found. There were many aliens made of the Symbiot Goo that Venom is made of. You have to kill these symbiotic life forms and retrieve meteor shards from around the world. The meteor shards give the symbiots life. If they get enough of them, they will grow too powerful to destroy. You are paired with another character from the Spider-Man series. Some of these characters include: Green Goblin, Doc Oc, Cat Burglar, and Venom.
The graphics of this game are not the highest quality I have ever seen, but they are colorful and fun (as you would expect from Marvel Video games). The movie sequences are great quality. The frame does not ever skip, and can always rely on the game to not skip out on you when you need it.
Next, let us move onto Combat. There are many combinations of moves you can perform on enemies. A light attack is triggered with the circle button, while a strong attack is triggered by the triangle button. You can hold either of these buttons to unleash an offensive or defensive superpower. An offensive superpower is triggered by holding down the triangle button. A defense superpower is activated day holding and releasing the circle button. You can only use these powers if you collect enough gold energy by defeating symbiots. Each character has different superpowers. Spiderman, for example, has the ability to jump up into the air, grab an opponent with his web, and fling them to the ground (creating a shockwave that defeats any enemies around. Doc Oc's offensive superpower is to swing his tentacles around, killing everyone around him. The green Goblin's power is to get on his flying, machine and shoot green gas at symbiots. This will damage (but not kill) all the symbiots in the area. This one is very useful for fighting off tougher symbiots.
I really like the way this game is put together, and I would rate it an 8 out of 10. This game is rated E for Everyone. the graphics are fun, the fighting is entertaining, and the storyline is interesting. I really love this game and I hope you will too. this game will cost around 20 dollars on EBay, and you can get it for lees from a reseller like GameStop or GameFly.
