"Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark" Opening Night Information

After being postponed for a time, the people behind Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark have sent an email to those signed up for it on the show's website announcing presale opportunities and - finally! - an opening date.

This ambitious Broadway production powered by such iconic figures as Bono and The Edge from U2 and Julie Taymor was meant to hit the stage back in February 2010. Unfortunately, due to its large scale and mismanagement by the original producer (who is still on the bill), the project was nearly bankrupted and the opening was postponed. But with a new producer in place and Disney cleaning up the financial mess, the show is back in rehearsals stage. Presales are open now for tickets to opening night and will extend to August 18, 2010. And opening night is ---- wait for it---- November 14, 2010.

This is good news to those who have eagerly awaited the production with its original scoring by members of the greatest band since the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, its legendarily arty and visual director, and its advertized stunts and grandiosity. Will you be at Broadway on November 14, 2010?
