Perhaps if Popeye can cook fresh spinach he would do this...
SPINACH WITH MEAT AND OYSTER SAUCE
Ingredients:
300g spinach
1/4 kilo of ground meat (pork or chicken)
1 onion
2 tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 chili
5 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
ground pepper
sesame oil
water
Procedure
1. Marinate the meat in 2 tbsp of oyster sauce, pepper, salt, and 2 drops of sesame oil (10 minutes).
2. Cook the meat until a bit crunchy. Don't use oil if using pork. Set aside
3. In a small bowl, put 3 tbsp of oyster sauce. 1 tbsp sugar, 1/4 cup water, 1 drop of sesame oil, salt, pepper. Mix
3. Heat oil in Wok or pan.
4. Saute onion, tomato, and garlic
5. Add the oyster mixture, let it simmer.
6. Add the meat. Stir.
7. Add the spinach.
8. Add the chili.
9. Let it cook for 2 mins.
10. Serve with rice.
Note: You can cook this dish without meat. Just change the title to Spinach With Oyster Sauce. Heh!
