Spiritual Housecleaning

Eva Wright
In my other article entitled 'The Magnificent Mind' you learned how to log thoughts in your thought journal and how to control a negative thought and change it into a positive one. And now that you have tied these thoughts to your emotions you should be able to feel the subtle energy difference in your body when you are having a positive thought verses one that is leaving your body through worry, fear, or doubt. We worked on the mental housecleaning.

In this Article we are focusing on your becoming aware of your general surroundings. If you are seeking abundance in your life and yet still working from behind a desk that is so cluttered that you can barely find a pen and paper then we have got a lot of work to do!

Just as our thoughts can be toxic and have detrimental effects to our health and to our energy field, our environment can be toxic as well. Are your surroundings clean and fertile for manifesting abundance in your life or are you being drained by clutter. Living in a messy environment can cause confusion and if left alone long enough it can cause numerous health problems, not to mention is a challenge for you to maneuver around in. As a teen I spent a lot of time with my wonderful and inspiring Native American friends and going from the high tech city life to living primitive with no electric and no telephone or television was a whole new experience for me. They would pack only what was necessary for living and recognized that they could not attach themselves to material things in this world and genuinely enjoyed living simply. Coming from a family of eccentrics, this had a powerful and lasting effect on me in my own life once I came back home.

So make mental and physical housecleaning a daily top priority in your life.

Wake up, get out of those pajamas, do your hair and makeup, and clean that house! Even if you can only blitz it out fifteen to twenty minutes at a time, at least it is a start. Working in retail I learned what blitzing really meant. A few of us got together and got the necessary job done in a short amount of time.

If you have things that you don't wear or use any more give them away to someone that does need them. Look for groups on the Internet called Freecycle and see if you can't rid yourself of some of the extra clutter in your life. Some people have to have the latest this and the latest that and keep acquiring more and more stuff until their houses are overflowing then they wonder why they have no money to pay the bills with. Don't become one of these people. Shopping can be fun but never to the point of extremes. Sometimes when we women feel helpless we find ourselves feeling better when we go shopping as if it were another daily routine. This routine can become destructive if continued. Let Go and Let God.

Being attached to material things zaps your spiritual energy and can be toxic. Your homework for this week is to de-funk your house, your closet, your car and your office. This job takes commitment and resolve to get it in tip top shape.

If it takes more work than you would like to do by yourself then recruiting the hubby or kids and go ahead and get the whole family involved! Make it a fun challenge. Once they see how much effort that you are putting in then they will want to please you and make you happy as well by lending a helping hand. Release all of the things you no longer need or use. Change the house around and make it simpler. Sometimes something as simple as moving the sofa around toward the opposing wall can give the whole room a new and dramatic appearance!

If there is a personal relationship that you might have that isn't working out quite the way that you would like, now is the time to see if the friend/co-creator in your life is strengthening you or weakening your changes for the better.

If there is any dysfunction within a relationship then it is better to remove oneself from the relationship than to remain in a toxic environment or in a conflict filled turbulent union that is less than healthy and nurturing for you.

We cannot create positive changes if there is negativity surfacing in relationships, whether it be personal or professional. In order to create winning abundance in our lives ALL of the funk must be removed. Sometimes that involves ending personal relationships that are no longer working for us or giving us the strength that we need to

co-create positive things in our lives. Becoming aware of the positive or negative energy in all of your relationships is very important.

And as far as clothing goes, if it hasn't fit you within the last six month for the love of God let it GO! Keeping it can sometimes be a painful reminder of the body you once had only creates more negative thoughts, worries, and goals that may disappoint you later if they don't get fulfilled.

This de-funking goes for your car and office if they are clutter bugged as well.

And By the way.. Congratulations, I am saying this in advance because I know how much happier you are going to feel and how empowered you are going to be by doing this! And you are taking the next step forward in Changing Your Life For The Better!

By now you should have an idea of how you want to change your life for the better!

Some of your goals might be:

A new career or getting a raise in your current job.

Starting your own business or getting more clients.

Attracting a partner or improving the relationship with your current partner.

Attracting friends to you that have a like mind.

Improving financial matters or starting a saving's account.

Manifesting the best health possible for yourself.

Healing any heartbreak or health problem.

Manifesting abundance and prosperity.

In your next weekly meditation (which you should be doing at least once per day now) think about what it is that you would like to manifest in your life. Relax and let go.

Developing a healthy meditation practice is essential. Why not spend the next 90 days focusing on what it is that you really-really want to manifest in your life. Mark the dates on your calendar and keep the weekly appointments with yourself just as you would any other important appointment with a Doctor Etc.. that is listed in your busy day planner or schedule.

Don't forget to use your personal journal to keep up with vital thoughts or changes in your perception as they begin to take place within your life. If you feel any 'red flags' in your life during this private time then listen to your inner voice and take note of them and meditate and listen to inspirational insight to find a creative way to solve the problem.
