I like listening to meditation tapes and I'm learning to be comfortable in silence. The Lord said. "Be still and know that I am God" and I'm trying to follow his advice. I have faith that once people find out that I can help them with their career, I will be successful. I even have a job getting guide at www.jaalahdupont.com. But no matter what your job is, you have to do the best you can at it. And do it with all your might. When you become enlightened, doing a good job just happens. I was a very good child care worker. An eager framer. A damn good manager. But unless you are totally present, you cannot achieve any success without a great deal of inner turmoil. I studied Eckharte Tolle and I find great wisdom in his teachings. He deals with questions I have as being a genius. And he answers them. And I realize, no thought that I have, is as important as the truths of my spiritual teacher, Jesus Christ.
Being faithful means being humble and not relying on yourself, but the greatness of God. While some women like to say that they believe in goddesses. I don not want to regress. True there is a great wisdom to be found in women. But a loving father protects his children from wild beasts and unenlightened people. God is love. Without love, no miracles can exist. We have to believe we are loved and know that God wants good things for us before we can stop consulting psychics and tarot card readers.
The God of the Bible is a jealous God. He wants all our love and devotion. He wants us to forsake all others to enjoy the gift of marriage with our beloved. It is not a wimpy God. He is full of strength and mercy and he wants us to enjoy being with "Dada." What good is a father if he cannot protect his children? What good is a leader if he cannot stand for something. Jesus Christ was God incarnate, but he humbled himself to be born of a woman, to die a horrible death so that his sacrifice would wipe clean all of our selfishness. All of our greed. All of our lust. All of our gluttony. Not that he needs us to worship him because he is God. But to honor him with out souls and because he made us to worship. So that we have the choice. We can worship money and sin or we can turn away from the world and delve deeper into our spiritual lives and help others and worship our living God.
