Spiritual Partnership

With you, the games are not needed
In fact, they just don't existThat stage in our lives, we've already supersededWe're finished with tit-for-tat bull shit

My feelings run deep with youNot just romantically, but unconditionallyTwo unique concepts but for us you equally engage the two

I don't have expectations and nor do youWe don't build on levels of second-guessing who's telling what truthI know because you're willing to tell me what hurts, for the sake of withholding some fantasy that ultimately feels worse

Ignorance is not bliss and that you understandThat's why you make it a point to gain every ounce of wisdom you canI do the same so we can grow with our knowingAnd tell each other and the world about the seeds we're sowing

See I was a whole woman, a powerhouse on my ownI took time to know myself before claiming to be grownThen as a woman I met you in my mindDrawing you to me only when it was time

You did the same so no baggage or set-backs could interfereWith the rightness only God could recognize from our speaking into his ears

You are my love, and only magic or fate can explain how two so-perfect but separate worlds were allowed to collideWe know the other's capabilities and encourage to no end, if one slows down the other learns more to maintain our stride

We don't use each otherWe don't confuse each otherWe're not into manipulation for fear of losing each otherYou're not my father, I'm not your mother, we stand eye to eye equally in love with one another.

I know in all relationships, we learn, then we leave.Whether the learning allows 10 minutes or 35 years together is not for me to conceive.I know to cherish every bit of you, from the snoring at night, to the our wanna-be fights.Settling is something I know I'd never do - I'd trade all of the world for a handful of you.

You are my partner, my confidant, my love in spirit, my world, my heart, my soul, the energy that sustains me. You maintain me. You know me. You love me. You feel me. You build me. You breathe me. You see me. The real me.
