Spirituality in the 21st Century

"We are spiritual beings having a human experience". This phrase has become very popular and used often by psychics, mediums and spiritualist. Basically this one phrase describes exactly what we are. We are spiritual beings that have come to this planet to learn how to cope with the negativity, grief and problems this planet has to offer. We have made this trip several times (reincarnation) and will probably continue to do so in future life times to come.

With this planet being in such turmoil with disasters, wars, terrorist and crimes it makes you stop and think that there has to be more to life than just being born, living for a while and dying. Well whether you believe it or not dying is not the end. Actually dying is only the end of this short trip here on earth and finally returning back home to continue where we left off. The spirit world is our true home and this is where we will live and learn for all eternity.

As you may have noticed there have been more TV shows on psychics and mediums than there has been before the turn of this century. TV shows like the "Ghost Whisperer", "Medium", Psychic Investigators and a host of other shows and TV specials on the paranormal. You might have seen TV shows where psychics are giving readings to the audience or even hosting live events and seminars.

As a matter of fact my wife and I had a reading on a famous psychic show, that aired nationally, about 7 years ago and the reading we received was 100% accurate. People today are turning more to psychics for answers and guidance on all aspects of their life.

There are millions of people who have been contacted by their departed love ones, either directly or through a medium or psychic. These departed love ones are trying to communicate with them to let them know they are still around and they see what is going on in their lives.

Psychics and mediums have made a dramatic impact on spirituality in the 21^st century by validating our life events through our departed loved ones. Whenever there are Live Events where psychics or mediums give seminars or readings you will find tickets are being sold out at an alarming rate. This just goes to show you that people today are looking for the true meaning of life.

So how do psychics and mediums contact the departed? Let's try to approach this scientifically. Everything in the universe, including us, is made up of energy. Energy can never be destroyed it may change its appearance if it remains in a physical sate. Our bodies are more than just flesh and bones. Our body is also made up of an energy field. This energy however is intelligent energy which continues to exist in the universe after physical death. This intelligent energy is called our "essence" or "soul".

Psychics can tune into this energy and through their five senses and interpretation pass on messages to us from our departed love ones. Mediums on the other hand can actually see the departed as well as communicate with them and pass on messages to their living love ones.

If psychics can tune into this energy why can't we? Actually anyone can tune into the energy of our departed love ones or any other spirit that may wish to communicate with us. Through meditation we can quiet our mind and becoming aware of spirits around us. Some people can successfully meditate in a short period of time while it may take others much longer. There are many different ways of meditating and there is meditation CD's available to help you meditate.

So what does the spirit world look like? As discussed in many of Sylvia Browne's books the spirit world is a replication of all the beauty that exists on earth. All the continents, oceans, mountains, animals and great temples from history are all on the other side for us to enjoy. Except the beauty of all this is multiplied astronomically beyond what our human minds can comprehend.

You can look at the Spirit World as our true reality and this life here on earth a short dream that we will soon wake up from.

It's our own choice whether we incarnated (choose a life on earth) into an earth life or not. We have the choice to live forever in our true home on the other side or to come to earth and learn the lessons we choose to learn.

The lessons we learn on earth can not be learned on the other side because we have no ego, negativity or grief in our true home on the other side. So the earth is the perfect environment for us to grow our soul. It may take many life times for us to prefect one thing we set out to do on earth.

As stated in one of Sylvia Browne's Books, Life on the Other Side, we plan our life chart on the other side and work out all the details with our spirit guide and counselors. We even view our entire earth life on a scanning machine before we make the trip to earth.

When our life here on earth is over and we return home we go through a life review and examine all aspects of the life we just completed on earth. Its here where we see where we went off track in our life and latter on decide if we want to come back to try again.
