Splashes of Song

April Higney
A sea of many wonders,
setting the heart adrift.
Glimpses of the shoreline,
as life's course take a shift.
Waves crash over,
sun high in the sky,
an endless swim,
seems missing some things,
watching the world float by.
Catching the shimmer,
reflection in sea-foam green,
glistening, splashes of song,
carried along,
by sounds heard, beauty seen.
In soft sand,
the heart meeting land,
whispers,
mist kissed,
holds the hand.
The raining sun,
drops of warm embrace,
blue eyes of the sky,
look upon the earth's face.
A sea of many wonders,
vast must it be...
A sea of many wonders...
drifting near, drifting far,
the heart carried along,
glistening, splashes of song,
so much to hear, so much to see...
