Splenda is the new way to add sugar and sweeten food. Sugar or glucose can be very unhealthy for you, especially if you consume a lot of it, or have diabetes, but Splenda is a great alternative. Splenda is made form 100% real sugar, but simply modified to it does not work in your body the same way the sugar does. This means that you can add sugar to any food you like, or beverage and feel good about.
Splenda also has a line of sugar that's intended for baking. This means that you can make a more healthy version of Grandma's famous cookies, or bake a delicious cake in the exact same way that you would if you were to use regular sugar. Splenda for baking is another healthy alternative for sugar and can be used any and everywhere sugar can be. And as with all of Splenda's products it's diabetic safe, however you should still exercise caution.
Many coffee drinkers opt to use Splenda rather then prue sugar because they see the risks and health problems associated, but also as an alternative to other artificial sweeteners. Both Equal and Sweet 'n Low have an ingredient known as aspartame which has been linked to many health problems. If you have trouble drinking Diet Soda of any kind then you should really try to avoid aspartame. Aspartame is added to many diet sodas instead of sugar, as the key sweetener, and that's why you get a kind of odd taste when drinking diet sodas, but Splenda uses no aspartame and is made form real sugar. This means an overall better flavor and healthier choice compared to other sweeteners.
Splenda is available at any supermarket, just look for the yellow box, and can be bought for daily use such as in beverages, or for baking use. Each box will tell you what the use is, and they can be bought in varying sizes for varying uses. Splenda is just a great healthy alternative for the whole family to enjoy, and taste great because it's made from sugar.
