Splendor: A Movie Review of an Unconventional Love Story

Funsponge
Splendor is a cute and fun movie that gives a whole new meaning to love. It's about a 20 something struggling actress named Veronica. Veronica has no dating life. She hasn't been on a date for months. So she decides to tag along with her friend Mike to a party. At the party, Veronica meets Zed and Abel. Zed is a hunky but clueless drummer. Abel is an intelligent but unsuccessful writer. Veronica is attracted to both of them but can't decide which one she wants to date. So she decides to date them both. At first, Zed and Abel were turned off at the idea. But after a night of truth or dare and lots of alcohol, they end up having a threesome.

Veronica, Zed, and Abel eventually all move in together. They were a crazy happy family. But suddenly everything started to crumble apart. Zed and Abel lost their jobs, so Veronica had to support all of them. She got a role in a lifetime movie. And she had a part time job as a car model. One night, Veronica heard the other car models laughing at her and her lifestyle. That same night, she found out that she was pregnant. Veronica realized that she could never raise a baby with Zed and Abel. So she ran away with the director of her movie. He proposed to her. Veronica thought that she could have a normal life with the him. So she said yes to his marriage proposal. She may have a normal life, but will she be happy with him? Or is she better off with Zed and Abel?

This movie is a cult favorite. It has romance, drama, and comedy all in one film. It stars Kathleen Robertson as Veronica. You may recognize her from the show Beverly Hills 90210 and the movie Nowhere. Johnathon Schaech plays the character Abel. He has been in the movies The Doom Generation, That Thing You Do!, and Welcome to Woop Woop. It also stars Matt Keelsar as Zed. He has been in the movies The Last Days of Disco, Scream 3, and Psycho Beach Party. You can rent this movie at Blockbuster.
