There are some fool-proof ways in which you can spoil your cat and many of them are listed here with the cat-lover in mind.
1. Give it a home. Of course, it has your loving home as a place to receive love and attention, and that's great! But giving your new kitty or cat a place to sleep at night and relax in the daytime is just as important as the bed that you sleep on! Make sure that the bed that you give him or her will allow your kitty access to much needed rest any time of the day or night. There are several things that you can buy your kitty in order to accomplish this task. First, you could always purchase a small cat bed from a pet store, making sure that it's soft enough for their little tushy. Another option, however, would be to make one using the resources that you have around your home. You could take a packing box, cut holes in the sides for little peepholes or windows, and then cut a hole in the bottom of the box for your lovable cat to go in and out of. Don't forget to put a small blanket in there to make the surface soft so they'll return to it often!
2. Buy a privacy litter box. Don't just give your cat any litter box. They need privacy just as any other person who uses the bathroom. Naturally you wouldn't like it if your bathroom didn't have a door attached to it, so don't subject your cat to the same terms. Purchasing a privacy litter box that is deep enough for them to step into and secure enough with a swinging door should cost no more than $20 at your local pet store.
3. Pamper your cat with clothes! There are all sorts of places where you can buy cat clothes and there are many clothes to be bought. Of course, if you are handy with a needle and thread you could knit your own kitty sweaters; however, for reasonable prices, all sorts and colors of clothes can be purchased from cat stores that have accessories like that for your cat. Don't forget to use color when you choose what sort of clothes your cat will wear. You can get colorful sweaters for him or her, jackets for all types of season, little cat socks, and probably even hats for your loved one to wear!
4. Bond with him or her on a regular basis. Bonding is a necessary action that you need to take with your pet kitty. They will not only love the attention, but they'll give you love at the same time. Sitting down specifically for time with your pet is not only crucial to the development of your cat's personality, but also will help you in the long run. Since studies have even shown that just sitting down and stroking your cat for a few minutes will do wonders to lower your blood pressure, why not spend that quality time with your cat?
All of the things that you do with your cat will ensure a lifelong, healthy relationship that you will develop with your pet. All of the steps that you take to treat him just like a family member will go a long way to foster your love for one another; taking the time now to spend time with your new kitty will benefit both of you later!
