Spongebob Birthday Cake Recipe!

Emmy
I know there are a lot of kids out there who would love to have a Spongebob Squarepants cake for their birthday! My daughter is a Spongebob fan and she wanted one for her 3rd birthday this past year. My husband was going to make one but he didn't end up having time with work, etc. I will give you this recipe in case you want to make a Spongebob cake for your little Spongebob fan!

Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla

Baking instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 in. baking pan.
Mix together sugar and eggs in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer for about a minute. Add flour, milk, oil, baking powder, and vanilla and beat for another minute or so until the batter is smooth. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick can be inserted into the center of the cake and come out clean. Run a knife around the edges to loosen and turn the pan upside down to remove from pan. Let cool.

Decorating instructions:
After cake is cool, you can decorate with frosting. The top 8 to 9 inches of the cake when looking at it tall side up should be spongebob's face and head. The bottom 4 to 5 inches should be the shirt and pants. You can use food coloring for the frosting or buy several different colors of frosting. You will need yellow, black, brown, white, and blue. You will probably need a picture of Spongebob to look to for decorating. You can just use frosting for the arms and legs and voila! You have a Spongebob cake!
