Ingredients:
½ cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon shortening
1 package large marshmallows
3 tablespoons butter
6 cups rice crisp cereal
Additional Items:
Orange frosting
Chocolate jimmies
Black rope licorice
Instructions:
In a large, microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter on high for about 45 seconds. Add the marshmallows and stir until they are coated. Microwave again for 45 seconds and stir. Microwave 45 more seconds or until smooth. Stir in peanut butter and instantly add cereal. Stir carefully until coated. Press the mixture into a greased pan.
In a mall microwave-safe bowl heat the chocolate chips and shortening on medium power for 1 minute. Heat 10 to 20 seconds at a time until melted. Stir until smooth and spread over cereal mixture in pan. Let cool.
Cut into small triangles leaving a think base on the bottom to serve as the brim of the hat. Use 4 chocolate jimmies to create a buckle and a piece of licorice for the brim. This recipe makes two dozen.
Spooky Spiders
Ingredients:
1/3 cup peanut butter
20 Raisins
20 crackers
80 pretzel sticks
Instructions:
Spread a generous amount of peanut butter over top 10 crackers. Press 8 pretzel sticks into the peanut butter. Place 4 on each side to resemble legs. Top with left over crackers. Use peanut butter as glue to stick on two raisins for eyes. Watch out it doesn't walk away!
Black Cat Cookies
Ingredients:
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup softened butter
1 cup baking cocoa
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all purpose flour
Additional Items:
48 candy corn candies
24 red hot candies
24 wooden sticks
Instructions:
In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Then beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture. Roll dough into 1 to 1 ½ inch balls. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet 3 inches apart.
Insert a wooden stick into each cookie. Use a glass dipped in sugar to flatten. To form ears pinch the top of the cookies. Press a fork on each side to make whiskers. Bake a 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Immediately after removing from oven place candy corn for eyes and a red hot for the nose. This recipe makes two dozen. Meow!
