Spooktacularly Devilicious Halloween Treats! These Spooky Cookies Are Awesome with Haunted Milk!

Miss Fortune
Not everyone wants to hand out the Snack Sized candy bars or usual Halloween fodder; if you are looking for something a little different but something that still has seasonal appeal then you need to check out Spooky Cookies! They are individually sealed packages of shortbread cookies in various shapes including skulls, pumpkins, bats, ghosts, witches and spiders. There are approximately ten cookies in each bag but they are packaged by weight so you might get an extra cookie if you get a couple more bats or ghosts because they are a tad smaller than other cookies. The bags are attractive too so they look awesome in a huge clear bowl. You can get chocolate chip Spooky Cookies but those have a blue bag, not a green one.

The taste is better than expected; they are not frosted so they have a straight shortbread taste to them. Out of the packages that we opened to test the taste on them there were only, at most, one broken cookie per bag which isn't bad for something like this. Spooky Cookies are one ounce packages so they are a small snack size but that's more an appropriate for trick or treating needs. The shapes aren't all that great but they work.

Prices on Spooky Cookies will vary depending on where you are buying them; I bought them online last year for $3.99 for a package of 24 but found them locally this year at a candy warehouse that sells a lot of seasonal products. The 24 count bags were the same price but I didn't have to pay shipping, worry about them getting smashed up or wait for them to arrive. They are a safe thing to hand out on Halloween because they are individually packaged. It isn't as cost effective as making your own but you can't exactly hand out homemade cookies in this day and age without having someone show up on your doorstep and question your intentions.
