- Severed fingers. For severed fingers you will need sausages and tomato ketchup. Arrange the sausages on a plate and simply pour ketchup over one end. You can create a finger nail by adding a small piece of potato on the end. These severed fingers will look best if displayed in groups of 5!
- Moldy mash. This one is really simple. All you will need is some mash potato and some green food coloring. Simply add the green food coloring to the mash and before you know it, you have moldy mash!
- Creepy crawly cupcakes. For this you will need some cupcakes, icing sugar, food coloring and plastic spiders. Make up the icing without the coloring to begin with and ice the cakes. Make up some new icing with red coloring in it (deep red so it looks like blood). Put the cupcakes on a tray and pour the red icing from high up. For older children and adults you may wish to splatter the red icing so it looks like a more frightening scene has occurred. Finally place the plastic spiders on the cupcakes and the plates so it looks like they are crawling across the plate.
- Jello delight. Why not make your jello with a difference? You will need some jello, some creepy crawly critters and a large jello mold. Make the jello up as you would normally but add some of the creepy crawlies in before it sets. When you bring it out of the mold you will be able to see the critters through the jello!
- Eye ball kebab. For this you will need some donut holes, some red icing and black icing. Pop a donut hole onto a fork or kebab stick (for younger children you could use a chop stick). Use the red icing to create a bloodshot eye. Use the black icing to make the iris of the eye. Repeat until the stick is half full.
- Blood red bile. Sweetened tomato juice can work well at a party especially a grown up one involving alcohol! To give the blood red bile extra scariness pop fake eyeballs into it. You can use plastic ones from a shop or you can used rolled up balls of readymade icing with black icing for the iris.
- Ghostly cookies. This is again a simple recipe which can really get the kids involved. Make some cookies and shape them like ghosts. Once they are cooked and cooled, you can ice them with white icing. For maximum effect you can pop them onto lollipop sticks halfway through baking.
Now you have the right recipes I hope that your party goes with a swing and that no one starves to death!
