Any holiday is a great time to spend with your children. Children and adults alike enjoy making crafts. Crafts can be carried out with children of any age group. They can be as simple or as difficult as will allow for your child's capabilities. Completing crafts with your children is a wonderful way to spend time together and show that you love and care for them. It also helps the entire family get into the holiday spirit.

Try these great Halloween fun crafts with you children. The crafts are simple and fun. They are sure to delight the entire family!

Plump Pumpkins Socks

Materials:

Knit orange socks (yellow will also work but orange looks better)

Green Ribbon (wide ribbon looks best)

Poly Foam stuffing

Black fabric or permanent marker

Directions:

Open up the end of the sock and begin stuffing it with the batting or stuffing. Stuff and shape the sock to look like a pumpkin. You will need to leave some of the top of the sock without stuffing to create the stem.

Tie the green ribbon around the top of the sock to form the stem and leaves.

Use the black marker to create a face on the pumpkin. Simple designs such as triangle eyes and nose and a toothy mouth look best.

Use the pumpkins to sit around the house for decoration. Use different size socks (women's, men's, infant's, and children's) to create a family of pumpkins.

Spooky Ghost

Materials:

White translucent material such as window sheers or fabric purchased from fabric store

White balloon (round)

Black permanent or fabric marker

White or clear string

Directions:

Cut out a large square of fabric. Cut a little hole in the very center of the material.

Blow up the white balloon and knot the end. Use the black marker to draw a ghost face on it. Use the oval eyes and haunting smile of a ghost. The knotted end of the balloon should be the top of the ghost's head.

Tie a string around the knot of the balloon and place the string and the knot through the little hole in the middle of the material. Hang from the ceiling and let the white translucent material drape over the balloon. You should be able to see the face of the ghost through the material.

Hang the ghost sporadically around the room. They are great decorations for Halloween parties.

Happy Halloween!
