Sports Briefs: Youngerts' Super Bowl Predictions

It has been said of children that they are our future; that they will lead us; that they are much easier to track down than celebrities.

Therefore, who better to gather Super Bowl predictions from than a group of elementary school students? They are eager to discuss the fates of the New England Patriots and New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII. And after the game, those who predicted the winning team will receive a boost of confidence comparable only to staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

Here are the responses of Mrs. Crook's third grade class of youngerts from China Spring Elementary School in China Spring, Texas.

Who do you think will win the Super Bowl?

"I thank the Patrits becaus they are good." - Brittany, age 9.

"New York Jinets. They are the best ever!" - Kakavilla, age 9.

"Giants. I don't know." - Laurynn, age 9.

"I don't know. I'll be plaing videogams." - Hunter, age 8.

"The Patriots, because they're undefeated." - Colton, age 9.

"Don't no." - Kaylee, age 9.

"The Gaints, because they are called the gaints." - Lee, age 8.

"I don't now." - Brandon, age 9.

"The Patriots, because they're great." - Allison, age 9.

"I don't know." - Jared, age 9.

"The Patriots, because they already won 4 Superbowls." - Jacob, age 8.

"I'm not into football. I don't care who wins. What's the MVP award? I'll be doing normal stuff." - Sean, age 8.

"Giants, because there are a good team. I will be watching." - Austin, age 8.

"I'm playing whith my neibor Tresten." - Cammie, age 9.

"New York Jinets, because they are good. They have a good team. I will be watching the Super Bowl." - Meagan, age 8.

"I don't no. I'll be plaing games." - Hunter, age 10.

"I think the New York Giyents will win, because they are good. I will be watching the Super Bowl." - Lacee, age 9.
