Sports Cards: Top Players to Collect of 2009

Kaitlyn Joseph
This article is to help you see what other people are collecting and why. If you are looking to collect a player that is not as widely collected, then this list will be more like which players you don't want. Let's take a look at some basketball, football, and baseball players. I only list two players per sport so feel free to add a comment with your predictions as to who will do well in the card world.

Basketball

Danny Granger: Granger has had a good year so far and it looks like he will continue to improve. The Pacers have given him a good home. He is a small forwad but he packs a big punch when he finds the line. Granger has the support he needs to continue to grow and that is exactly what he will do.

Brandon Roy: Roy has been a popular name around the NBA in 2008. You can expect his name to continue being talked about. The Chicago Bulls have had their ups-and-downs this season (08-09) but they are a team with lots of promising young players. Roy will stand out from the others and his cards will continue to sell well.

Football

Michael Crabtree: Crabtree is a magnificent receiver who played college football for Texas Tech. He is an All-American receiver and has received a great deal of recognition for his achievements. He should get picked up quickly in the draft and expect good numbers from him if he gets playing time.

Adrian L. Peterson (not to be confused with Adrian N. Peterson who played for the Chicago Bears): Peterson has been tearing up the statistics with the Vikings. He is leading the Vikings with his bone-crushing runs. Peterson cards are selling like hot cakes, everything from singles to high-end autographs.

Baseball

Ryan Braun: Braun is one of the most popular Brewers player. Braun is strong on offense and indespensible on defense. Since the Brewers did so well this past year, it only stands to reason that he will continue to sell well. His rookie autographs are highly sought after and so are his jersey cards. Do not pass up a good deal on a Braun if you have the cash to spare. He will continue to sell well through 2009.

Evan Longoria: Longoria has a great showing during his rookie year. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays made it to the World Series with a group of their farm league players. Longoria had a strong back and solid defense. His autos sell really well and even his inserts and base do great. As long as he stays fit, his cards will continue to do really well.

You are correct! I am sorry for my mistake and any misunderstanding it caused. You are right that the Bulls have a lot of young talent though.

Granger is definitely a hot commodity now... I would include Jay Bruce in the baseball category as well.
