Often when we think of gift ideas for girls, sports are not in the picture. But, that should not be the case, as more and more girls are interested in sports. 3. Team Jerseys and Other Clothing. If your teen girl has a favorite team, a jersey, sweat shirt or tee shirt would make a great gift. Professional jerseys can be bought a star's name on the back. One word of caution: make sure you get the right team, and the right athlete. If you choose the wrong one, it may never be worn!

4. Sports Tickets. If you live close enough to a sports venue, purchase tickets for an important or rivalry game. Spending the day going to the game, tailgating and just spending time together could be the greatest gift your teen girl gets. They will love the environment of a big game which they cannot possibly get on TV!

5. Yard Games. Teens are always looking for things to do with their friends. There are a lot of yard games that are fun to play, and easy to set up and use. There are many kits available at most sports retailers, as well as discount retailers such as Wal-Mart. You can get a volleyball/badminton set for a very reasonable price. You can also purchase a nicer volleyball net, and set it up permanently, perhaps even putting in a sand court if your teen is interested in playing more seriously. Other inexpensive yard games are yard darts, key hole, or horseshoes. These games can bring hours of fun for your teen and their friends. Such games will cause your yard to be the place to be!

6. A Gym Membership. A gym membership is a great choice for a teen girl. For a monthly fee, your teen can have access to all the sports equipment she wants, as well as aerobics classes, and other specialty exercise classes. A gym that has a racquetball court and a pool is an added bonus. Check out the local YWCA or Community Center for a great deal on a monthly membership.
