There was much debate over moving Jane's Carousel to Empire-Fulton Ferry, but that seemed to have overshadowed the other proposed park improvements. Additional developments include new landscaping, park benches, lighting fixtures and storm water drainage system.
According to Brooklyn Bridge Park, Empire-Fulton Ferry will reopen sometime in spring 2011. The park is also now integrated into Brooklyn Bridge Park.
