Spray Paint Art for Beginners
A List of What You Need to Begin Your Spraypaint or Spacepainting Career
2. MAGAZINE- You can probably find an unused magazine in your house somewhere. It will be used a lot for creating mountains, pyramids, and moon textures.
3. CIRCULAR TOPS- If you look in your kitchen you can probably find some used "cool whip" top or some circular tops which you will use for creating moons.
4. SPRAY PAINT- This is the most important part of spray painting. You can purchase this spray paint at your local hardware store or you can buy it for real cheap at wal-mart. Always buy GLOSSY spray paint or your paintings will not come out right. It will say whether or not it is glossy on the back of the can.
5. PUTTTY KNIFE- The putty knife is used for making stars, water, and some trees in your paintings. This tool is not absolutely necessary but it is great to have. You can get a pack of them at wal-mart for about a dollar.
6. PALLET KNIFE- This tool is one of your most useful tools. You will use it for adding depth to your paintings. Such as your mountains, rocks, and creating trees.
7. STRAIGHT EDGE- It is best to have a long straight edge so that you can create horizon and water. This is a tool that you should absolutely buy.
8. EDGING BRUSH- You will use this brush for creating trees and other textures. They are extremely cheap and you can buy them for about seventy cents.
9. OLD RAG- You can probably find one of these around your house. This will be used for foliage.
10. BOARD- It is best to get something that doesn't matter if it gets painted on. Get some sort of flat surface that can be moved around from place to place easily that is light.
11. POSTERBOARD - What most spray paint artists paint on is the glossy side of poster board. I use ghostline poster board myself but you can use any kind of poster board you would like. For the best effect always paint on the glossy side.
