Spring

Behold the flowers on the hill,
The birds in song, the sudden still
Of air and will, as all pause for spring,
That time when the soul stirs and sings.

Hear the songs of praise and prayers and grace,
That leave a look of reverence on each face,
As people raise their voices and their hearts,
And try to fly up to their Maker as if they were larks.

Spring: When the worms borough in the earth.
Spring: When the flowers burst with bloom.
Spring: When prayers rise unbidden.
Spring: When He looks on His creation and smiles.
