What Are the Hottest Jeans for Spring 2009?

Jeans are always in style. You can wear them to be super casual, or pair them with a dressy shirt to look more professional. There are many variations of jeans, and everyone has their favorite.

Each season, certain jeans top the fashion hit list. These are the jeans that you will find in almost any store, like JCPenney, Macy's, and other department stores, as well as designer jean stores and outlets. For spring of 2009, a few jeans are making their mark in the fashion world. Here are five top jeans for Spring 2009.

1. The Boyfriend jean. The Boyfriend jean is basically an oversized jean, one that looks like it was your boyfriend's. It doesn't fit right, it's loose and baggy, and it's apparent that it wasn't made for your body. However, this jean is big for Spring 2009. You'll find the jean on stars like Rachel Bilson and Cameron Diaz already this year.

The boyfriend jean is certainly a comfortable option. You don't have to worry about the jean being too tight to get zipped or snapped shut. These jeans are already pre worn, so they are already soft and worn in. The jeans go with almost anything from a dressy shirt to a sweatshirt. The only negative is that you don't get to show off your figure as well as with some of the other hot jeans.

Boyfriend jeans will crop up in any stores, like JCPenney and Macy's, Target and Kohl's. The great thing about them is that you can actually just go in the men's department and literally buy a pair of jeans that would fit your boyfriend, and you're set to go. Each of the stores mentioned has a website where you can also purchase the jeans.

2. Siwy denim jeans. Siwy denim took off in 2005, and has been going strong ever since. There are a few different styles offered by Siwy. One to top the list is the ripped denim jean. This jean has rips everywhere, or just a few rips. For example, the jeans may have cut marks across the front of the thigh, or have the whole buttocks area ripped out.

The jeans are hot because they look very worn, and often show off various body parts by exposing them more than a normal jean. The jeans are comfortable generally, because they are worn. Most of the time the jeans are often pencil thin jeans that have narrow fitting at the bottom of the jean.

Siwy ripped denim jeans are found on the website for Siwy denim, and can be purchased there. Otherwise, the jeans can be purchased at Eshops online, site listed in the resources. Singer 22 is one website that sells the jeans.

3. You will never believe this, but fringe jeans are in! These are jeans that have fringes all down the sides on the outside of the leg. It's like a leather suede cowboy boot with fringes, made into jeans. I never thought this jean would come back. As silly as they may look, you'll be totally in fashion if you wear these jeans for Spring 2009. You'll be able to find the jeans made by designer Wiliam Rast. They are available for purchase on his website.

4. Skinny jeans. Skinny jeans are ones that are tight from hip to toe. They don't flare, or bootleg at the bottom. They can be stretchy, white, black, or even leather or pleather. Skinny jeans can be found at any store like JCPenney's or Macy's. You can also catch the top designers making these jeans, like Alexander Wang and John Galliano for Christian Dior. These can be purchased on their websites.

5. Short shorts jeans, which used to be called Daisy Dukes. For Spring 2009, you'll only find people wearing these in warmer climates, like Florida and California. Towards the end of spring, once the weather warms up, you can find anyone wearing them across the United States. You can make your own daisy dukes by cutting off, really short, any pair of jeans you already own that are tight around the waist and buttocks. Otherwise, you'll find them in all department stores and fashion jeans stores.

The short short jeans show off alot of skin, which many find attractive. However, they are easy to ride up on you and become uncomfortable. The goal is to cut them off just short enough to be stylish, but long enough to still be comfy.
