Spring

Walton S. Tissot
Awake, youthful and terrene

~

Equinoctial divide; cessation of winter

Non equipoised, and just left of center

~

Occasion of birth, of seed and sow

Paternal bond; faun and doe

~

Youthful pride, true love, or inclination

Stoic pause, and breviloquent contemplation

~

Day not long, and neither night

Peaceful calm in sound and sight

~

Cut the barley, rejoice the meal and the meat

The dawn of the year; barrow and teat

~

Do remember please; it's time to burn the leaves

~

Nostalgia conveyed serene
