Atlanta Dogwood Festival
The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is one of the places to be. This festival celebrates the annual blooming of the Dogwood (hence the name). For three days each spring, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival keeps thousands enjoyed with live music, crafts, food and family-friendly activities.
Be sure to attend the U.S. Disc Dog Southern Nationals. This competition will feature some of the top frisbie catching dogs in the world. Other attractions at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival include face painting and rock climbing for the kids. A lot of the profits go to charity foundations and organizations, so you can have fun and know you're helping at the same time! Musical entertainment at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival will be provided and can range from bluegrass and country to rock and soul. The event itself is free!

Atlanta Film Festival
The annual Atlanta Film Festival shows independent films from all over the globe. Essential viewing for independent film fanatics, movie fans and filmmakers, the Atlanta Film Festival screens more than 150 films in a little over a week. Cinematic entries in the Atlanta Film Festival include a variety of genres including documentaries, narratives, foreign films, experimental film, animation and local productions. The Atlanta Film Festival is also an Academy Award qualifier for narrative short films.
Also on the Atlanta Film Festival agenda are awards ceremonies, opening- and closing-night galas, and panel discussions. Among the participants in the Atlanta, Georgia Film Festival is an international array of filmmakers and movie industry representatives. Dont miss a chance to talk about movies with well-known actors and directors! A big event for any movie lovers or actors just looking to have a good time. Free to the public. Visitors arriving by private vehicle may expect to pay $5 to $20 in nearby parking lots.

Arizona Aloha Festival
During this festival there are several stages of live entertainment, including music, dance, and lectures of Hawaii and Polynesia. The Island Marketplace is huge, with vendors offering traditional crafts such as fresh flower leis, baskets, hats, carved bone necklaces, and tapa cloth. Crafts are the main attraction at this event, because the islanders pride themselves on their unique methods of transforming everyday items into treasure. There are also island wood products, and Hawaiian jewelry, surfer shorts, Hawaiian coffee, and Hawaiian music. Dont miss the chance to experience Hawii without actually traveling to the island. The food court offers traditional American snacks, but be sure to try some of the favorite foods of the people of Hawaii and the South Pacific. Exotic dishes can include kahlua pig, manapua, haupia, Vilo Vilo chicken, or Spam musubi. Children can make island crafts to take with them. On Sunday afternoon, the Island Jam offers an open invitation for everyone to dance. A very laid back and friendly festival so feel free to join! It is FREE for everyone.
