Spring Break Guide to Jamaica

Susan O.
This spring break you could choose to explore the beautiful land of Jamaica. And you can do it by road or by water! Jamaica has beautiful safaris to offer. You can go on a boat safari and see rare flora and fauna. Sighting a crocodile is not unheard of. Or you can hop on a mini open van and measure the lengths and breaths of Jamaica. Whichever mode of transportation you choose, you are sure not to be disappointed.

Jamaica is the land of rich natural heritage. It boasts high mountains and deep blue seas. Its 600 ft high waterfall, Dunns River Falls presents an excellent hiking landscape. The wet, slippery rocks make the adventure even more fun. But if you would rather undertake something less exhausting, try Holywell Mountains on for size. The trails are not so treacherous and once you reach the top, the view is nothing less than splendid. This mountain being more than a quarter of a mile above the sea level gives you a bird-eye view of Jamaica and beyond. Once you climb down the mountain, you might want to consider some amateur caving adventures. There are numerous limestone caves for you to explore. You can go river rafting in the white water of Jamaica, or choose to scuba dive and see the beautiful coral reefs. However, if what you need this Spring break is an adrenalin rush, then you might consider cliff diving. Choices are innumerable here, time fleeting!

Jamaica also has a great nightlife to offer. Its theaters speak of the cultural, social and political arena in which the land shaped. The Ward Theatre, gifted to the Kingston folks by a talented architect, has been declared as one of the monuments of historical significance and is something you would not want to miss. On the other hand, if you just want to have some fun, Weekenz Bistro & Bar is the place for you tonight. Lighthearted in its manner, it compels you to put on your dancing shoes and let down your hair and let the music guide you.

Then there are gaming bars to hit. And guess what! They have special Spring Break nights to welcome all the young visitors. Then there are beautiful resorts. Close to nature, many of these resorts provide a beautiful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Also, do not cut short your Spring break without checking out the cultural clubs at Kingston, the Social and political hub of Jamaica.

I am sure you must be hungry after so much sightseeing, so now it's time to check out the amazing Sport bar restaurants in Jamaica. One such restaurant is Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. Along with the mouth-watering dishes, it has water sports like waterslide, water tubes along with big TV screen to watch sport on. Another restaurant, which you will want to check out this spring break, has been an old time favorite with both locals and tourists, Toscanini's. However, make sure you get a reservation well in advance; this place has a long line!

I've been considering a trip for my upcoming birthday. Now I'll have to keep Kiev and Jamaica in mind. Sounds fantastic.
