Spring Break Travel to South Padre Island

We are going to provide you with some simple, easy to follow tips when you are considering booking your college spring break travel package to South Padre Island, Texas to make your trip not only more affordable, but much better.

1.) Consider driving
2.) Look at condos instead of hotels
3.) Price complete spring break packages with a Tour Operator instead of doing it yourself
4.) Book Early
5.) Think quality over price

First of all, Consider Driving to South Padre Island for spring break.

The ever-increasing jet fuel prices have driven up the cost of an airline ticket to as much as $500 per person round trip. If you put 6 people in a full size SUV,
your per person cost can often times come under $100 each for roundtrip fuel & an oil change. While less convenient, saving $400 per person might be the cost for your accommodations, meals, and party cover charges for the whole week --- plus a road trip is an adventure in and of itself!

Secondly, Look at condos instead of hotels. Condos in South Padre Island typically can hold a much larger amount of people, driving down the cost of the accommodations since you are splitting it evenly amongst more people. Additionally, condos have full kitchens (you can make simple meals to save you even more money), they let you bring in your own alcohol so you don't have to buy expensive pool drinks, and are often times about as nice as Presidential Suite in many hotels. Some condos to consider in South Padre Island are Inverness, Galleon Bay, and Saida Towers -- all very popular spring break locales.

Next, Price complete spring break packages with a Tour Operator instead of doing it yourself.

Many of us are so used to using one of the highly advertised travel websites for airfare & hotel packages, we fail to actually consider that Travel/Tour Companies that specialize in spring break travel for college students can put a package together for you that no only is better, it might even cost less! Look for a Tour Operator that is locally affiliated, has been in a business a multitude of years, and offers "complete" spring break tour packages with accommodations, meals, parties, & more. Make sure to check that all prices include "condo security" wristband fees, processing fees, hidden fuel surcharges, transfers, and all credit card fees.

Last, try to book early. Travel, unlike many other things, can increase exponentially the closer you purchase it to your actual travel dates. Worse yet, you could see a "sold" out situation in South Padre Island for spring break, as it draws over 50,000 college students in the months of February, March, & April for spring break trips.

Remember, common sense comes into play when getting the best deal on travel. Think of quality instead of price when booking your trip. As you only have a short weeks' worth of vacation, spending $10-$20 per day to stay in "The Right" place instead of somewhere that's off the beaten path might be money well spent. A travel package with many inclusions, an onsite staff to assist you, and huge parties that costs just a tad more more reflect a higher quality experience for you & your friends.

We hope that you found these tips helpful!
