Soaking up the sun. After a long, dreary winter, who wants to sit inside and clean all day? Step outside and soak up some Vitamin D.
Napping under a shade tree. Picture a hammock stretched out on the branches of a large oak tree. That's where I would be--if I had a hammock and some oak trees.
Bringing out my inner fisherwoman. Fishing can be great fun, even if you don't care much for eating the fish. If nothing else, the warm sun and cool breeze are oh, so relaxing.
Exploring the great outdoors. Take a nature hike, pick wild berries--or just get active with a game of softball or beach volleyball. Sure beats running on the treadmill.
Taking the dog for a walk. I'm sure the dog is getting antsy after being cooped up all winter. A nice, long walk is healthy for all involved.
Smelling the flowers. Stop and smell the flowers; they smell a heck of a lot better than household cleaners. They're healthier for you, too.
Watching the grass grow. What? It's got to be a lot more fun than spring cleaning. At least, it's a good way to waste the day.
Writing articles not related to spring cleaning. Well, unless I'm comparing alternative activities to spring cleaning.
Okay, so maybe I won't be able to do all of these things, but you get the picture. Whatever I choose to do with my non-spring-cleaning time, it's sure to be better than scrubbing the house top to bottom. Now get busy.

Sounds great!!
Never could understand the concept of spring cleaning. Do it well and do it often, then you have time for some of the "activities" you mention.
Perfect ideas for a spring day! Hope it arrives soon!
Love this! This is why my house is so dusty all the time ~ I'd much rather be outdoors in the yard fussing around than sweeping away the dust bunnies.
I guess I did give you an idea for an article!
